Nagarjunasagar – Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR)

Nagarjunasagar – Srisailam Tiger Reserve (NSTR) is India’s largest tiger reserve, spread across the Nallamala Hills in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
It lies within the Eastern Ghats and is drained by the Krishna River, which flows through the reserve.
The reserve is home to key wildlife species such as the Bengal tiger, Indian leopard, sloth bear, dhole, and spotted deer, along with rich floral diversity.
It is an important component of Project Tiger and plays a vital role in the conservation of the tiger and the Eastern Ghats ecosystem.
The reserve also serves as a crucial wildlife corridor, supporting biodiversity conservation and maintaining ecological connectivity in southern India.
